Earlier this week OpenText announced the unveiling of “OpenText Connect” as the new portal to be used for all Customer and Partner access to OpenText resources. With the implementation, you can expect to see a number of benefits. These include:
- Self-Registration
Customers and partners are now able to self-register for a Knowledge Center account. You don’t need to contact Customer Support for an account any longer. Instead, you can visit the OpenText Connect website where you can register to create a new account.
- Automated Password Reset
Remembering passwords can be a real challenge—even for those of us with great memories. Previously, forgetting a password meant requesting a password reset, which was inconvenient and could take hours for the changes to take effect. Not any longer—customers and partners can now recover their temporary password information instantly.
- Real Time Access to Downloads & Patches
No one likes to wait—especially for critical downloads and patches. With this change, customers and partners have real-time access to downloads and patches as soon as their KC accounts are created or changes are implemented.
